hist\u00f3ria do Banco de Cr\u00e9dito Real de Minas Gerais, o primeiro banco do Estado, fundado em 1889 com autoriza\u00e7\u00e3o de D. Pedro II e privatizado em 1999. Idealizado por Jos\u00e9 Tostes de Alvarenga Filho, o museu funciona na antiga sede do banco, um pr\u00e9dio de arquitetura ecl\u00e9tica constru\u00eddo em 1931. Seu acervo inclui cerca de 10 mil fotografias, filmes e livros sobre o cotidiano banc\u00e1rio em Minas Gerais.<\/p><p>Em destaque, possui uma balan\u00e7a de caf\u00e9 que conta a hist\u00f3ria da crise da Bolsa de Valores de 1929, que afetou a economia do caf\u00e9 em Minas Gerais. Tamb\u00e9m h\u00e1 registros de escravos hipotecados e cole\u00e7\u00f5es de lou\u00e7as inglesas do in\u00edcio do s\u00e9culo XX, refletindo o estilo de vida da \u00e9poca. O museu conta com m\u00f3veis originais e uma reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o da sala de um diretor de banco do come\u00e7o do s\u00e9culo XX, al\u00e9m de m\u00e1quinas de escrever e de contabilidade. H\u00e1 tamb\u00e9m uma cole\u00e7\u00e3o de moedas e c\u00e9dulas nacionais e internacionais que mostram a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o do dinheiro no Brasil.<\/p><p>O Banco de Cr\u00e9dito Real foi criado em 1888 para facilitar empr\u00e9stimos agr\u00edcolas em Minas Gerais e inaugurado oficialmente em 5 de setembro de 1889. A inaugura\u00e7\u00e3o do atual pr\u00e9dio do Museu do Cr\u00e9dito Real, que naquela \u00e9poca se tornou a terceira sede do banco, aconteceu em 30 de junho de 1931. Ele est\u00e1 localizado em uma esquina, com fachadas para a Avenida Get\u00falio Vargas e a Rua Halfeld, duas das principais ruas da cidade. Projetado por Luiz Signorelli e constru\u00eddo pela Companhia Industrial e Construtora Pantaleone Arcuri em estilo ecl\u00e9tico, com influ\u00eancias da arquitetura neocl\u00e1ssica, a edifica\u00e7\u00e3o possui seis andares, com os dois \u00faltimos adicionados na d\u00e9cada de 1930.<\/p><p>A fachada da Avenida Get\u00falio Vargas \u00e9 dividida em dois blocos. O pavimento t\u00e9rreo tem seis portas cont\u00ednuas com esquadrias de ferro e vidro transparente e uma marquise de concreto armado. O segundo andar tem seis janelas em sequ\u00eancia, cada uma com uma porta central e duas janelas basculantes laterais. O terceiro andar tem seis janelas de tr\u00eas partes, com uma porta central e duas janelas laterais. O quarto andar tem um v\u00e3o igual ao do terceiro andar, mas com arcos. Os quinto e sexto andares t\u00eam seis janelas de tr\u00eas partes.<\/p><p>A fachada da esquina, delimitada pelas colunas duplas, apresenta em todos os seis pavimentos a repeti\u00e7\u00e3o da composi\u00e7\u00e3o dos v\u00e3os descritos para a Avenida Get\u00falio Vargas, com exce\u00e7\u00e3o das portas do pavimento t\u00e9rreo, que s\u00e3o de cobre.<\/p><p>O pr\u00e9dio foi tombado pelo munic\u00edpio em 1992, por sua import\u00e2ncia hist\u00f3rica, social, econ\u00f4mica, arquitet\u00f4nica, urban\u00edstica e cultural. O tombamento inclui as pinturas ornamentais nas paredes, feitas pelo artista italiano Angelo Biggi, que tamb\u00e9m pintou o Cine-Theatro Central e a sede da Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Comercial.<\/p><p>Em 2000, durante a reforma da antiga sede do Banco de Cr\u00e9dito Real, foram descobertas pinturas nas paredes sob oito camadas de tinta, identificadas como obras de \u00c2ngelo Biggi. As paredes dos sal\u00f5es 101, 102 e 104, que abrigam o Museu do Cr\u00e9dito Real, t\u00eam pinturas com motivos geom\u00e9tricos e de plantas, usando tinta oleosa avermelhada que d\u00e1 uma apar\u00eancia de tecido sedoso. No sal\u00e3o 201, que abriga o audit\u00f3rio, as paredes t\u00eam moldes com motivos florais e geom\u00e9tricos, em fundo ocre esverdeado.<\/p><p>O acervo do museu \u00e9 dividido em duas grandes cole\u00e7\u00f5es: Objetos Pecuni\u00e1rios e Hist\u00f3ria Banc\u00e1ria. A cole\u00e7\u00e3o Objetos Pecuni\u00e1rios inclui moedas e c\u00e9dulas nacionais e internacionais, como uma moeda de 230 d.C. e c\u00e9dulas alem\u00e3s. A cole\u00e7\u00e3o Hist\u00f3ria Banc\u00e1ria tem pe\u00e7as, objetos e documentos do Banco de Cr\u00e9dito Real de Minas Gerais, organizados em categorias como Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o, Interiores, Objetos Pessoais, Medi\u00e7\u00e3o, Trabalho, Processamento, Ins\u00edgnias e Artes Visuais.<\/p><p>O antigo Banco de Cr\u00e9dito Real, tamb\u00e9m conhecido como Credireal, foi fundado em Juiz de Fora em 1889, pouco antes da Proclama\u00e7\u00e3o da Rep\u00fablica. O Estado assumiu o controle acion\u00e1rio em 1911 e o Credireal tornou-se uma institui\u00e7\u00e3o oficial em 1919.
